She graduated from the University of Marlyand with her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Marketing. Carmen and her husband, Kim, started a Computer Consulting Business in Washington, D.C. where God blessed them and enabled them to retire at a young age and go into full-time ministry. Kim is currently the Church Administrator and Carmen is the Women's Ministry Director at The Way Community Church in Fairhope, Alabama.
God called Carmen into full-time Women's Ministry over 25 years ago and gave her the Spiritual Gift of Teaching. Her passion is to teach women the beauty of God's Word and introduce them to Christ their Savior.
Carmen went on to complete her Master's Level Certificate in Women's Ministry from the New Orleans Theological Seminary and is currently completing her Master's Degree in Biblical Studies. Carmen has started several Women's Ministry Programs in her area and trains Women to begin their own Women's Ministry Programs in their churches.
Her passion is the Word of God and her mission is to share that passion with as many women as God will put in her path. She has led over 100 Bible studies and has seen many women accept Christ as a result of meeting God, their Creator, in the pages of His Word. Carmen and her husband are also volunteer missionaries and have had the privilege to lead groups to countries such as Africa and China.

Community Church as the Director of Early Childhood and Elementary Ministries in August of 2010. Jo was surprised to be offered the position since she felt she lacked the experience and qualifications required. However, others were confident in her God-given gifts and saw “first-hand” the positive impact she has on others.
A Heart Connection recognizes that Jo is a Christian lady of great energy; she has the ability to make people laugh and cry at the same time. "Being around Jo makes you feel good about yourself. Above all, you will know that she loves her Lord," says Diane Parten.
Jo would say that she is simply an ordinary person who longs to be used by God. In fact, even with all her feelings of weakness and inadequacy, God has qualified her as a candidate for His service and you are too!!!
..."God hath chosen the weak and foolish things of the world to confound the things which are mighty."

Joann Jordan
Joann is the founder of Garlands of Grace in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It was envisioned by Joann in the year 2000 as conferences for women, but it began with small studies. Three ladies coming together to study "Becoming a Woman of Prayer," by author Cynthia Heald. Each week we would meet to study God's Word and to pray for each other's needs.

As we started including and inviting other women to the study, we grew and expanded. What began with three, now has become many with twelve in each group. We continue to pray that we will be used to enrich, encourage, and support the women who attend these small group studies.
From this group of women came our Day Conferences, with our first conference in 2002 with national author and teacher Elizabeth George. Since then we have had the privilege of having some of the most delightful speakers on the circuit today, and the women have been blessed and enriched in their spiritual walks.
Many women attend these conferences and make a life-time commitment to Jesus Christ. They are discipled by the studies and encouraged to attend a local Bible-teaching church of their choice. We have truly seen God give these wonderful women a new heart, new way of thinking and a new spirit. Garlands of Grace is a useful vessel that the Lord uses to touch the hearts and the lives of all women, in various stages of their walk.
